How would you describe your photography style? What is your approach?
I think of my photography style first as art, with my mindset being to create imagery that is exquisite, refined and unique. I have an approach that is a blend of documentary and editorial styles, silently following you with my cameras to capture all the big and in-between moments, and ready to offer you some light guidance to help you create photos that are worthy of magazines. You will notice that my editing is natural, true-to-color, as to highlight and enhance the beauty of your love and the world around you.
How many hours should we book?
This varies for each couple, depending on your wedding plans, and really depends on what is planned and what is most important to be documented. I am more than happy to talk about your specific requirements and desires, so please get in touch (link to contact page). I offer wedding packages in 6, 8, and 10 hour increments, as well as a wedding weekend option. My elopement packages are available in 4, 6, and 8 hour packages. I have add-on options for both weddings and elopements so you can build your ideal package as well.
How many images can we expect to receive? Will they be edited?
I do not limit the number of photos I deliver to my clients and I am very intentional with the images that make it to your final gallery. Typically, I deliver an average of 75 photos per an hour of booked coverage. All photos in your gallery will be edited consistently with my style (no raw/unedited images will be delivered).
I do not see any formal family or wedding party portraits on your site. Do you take formal portraits at weddings?
Yes, I absolutely take formal family and/or wedding portraits as requested by my couples.
Do you blog or post to instagram everything you photograph?
I love to share little snippets of the love stories I get to be part of, though not everything I document gets shared simply because I am a one-woman show that hasn’t figured out how to add more time to a 24-hour day yet.
Do you offer albums and/or prints?
My wedding weekend packages come with a complimentary wedding album. If you’d like to add a wedding album to your wedding or elopement package, I’d be happy to build a customized quote for your needs.
Where do you recommend we print our photos?
Your online gallery will have a print store linked to it, so if you want to order directly from your gallery it’s a seamless process! If you would prefer to download your images and print them elsewhere, I recommend the following labs: Mpix (www.mpix.com); Nations Photo Lab (www.nationsphotolab.com); Printique (www.printique.com)
How do we know if you’re the right photographer for us?
Finding the right photographer is kind of like finding your person - you know when you know. For me, there’s something special that happens when something just clicks, like we’ve known each other longer we actually have. It’s a feeling, and you’ll know it when you feel it.
We want to get to know you! Can we schedule a video chat or meet you in person?
Hell yes! Fill out my contact form and let’s get that scheduled! I LOVE video calls to get to know couples and if I’m able to meet with you in person, I’m happy to do that as well. In-person meetings are only available within 20 miles of Kansas City, Missouri.
We’ve got that special feeling that you’re the one for us! What do we need to do to book you as our photographer?!
This is one of the most exciting decisions in your wedding planning journey, and I’m absolutely honored! Booking is easy - confirm to me the package and any add-on’s you want, I’ll send you the contract with your invoice that can be paid for using a credit or bank card, or a banking transfer. A 30% retainer is required to book your date, and the remaining balance will paid in installments with the final amount being due 30 days before your big day.
